63,026 Coronavirus Case in Bangladesh

In the last 24 hours, 35 people have died in Bangladesh for  coronavirus. A total of 648 people have died the country.

Meanwhile, the number of corona cases in the country has exceeded 63,000. At present, there are 63,026 patients infected with the virus in the country. Corona has been identified  2,835 people in the last 24 hours.

This afternoon, in the regular online health bulletin related to coronavirus of the Department of Health, Additional Director General (Administration) of the Department, Prof. Dr. Nasima Sultana shared this information.

The number of victims yesterday was 2,626.

Nasima Sultana said that the rate of infection in the sample test today is 21.10 percent. The previous day the rate was 20.08 percent. Thursday was 19.09 percent. Males constitute 61% of the population and females 29%.

He said 13,325 people have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far. In the last 24 hours, 521 people have recovered.

Today, the recovery rate is 21.14 percent and the death rate is 1.34 percent. On the previous day, the recovery rate was 21.20 percent and the death rate was 1.34 percent. The recovery rate on Thursday was 21.13 percent and the death rate was 1.36 percent.

Nasima Sultana said, 

‘12,909 samples have been collected in the last 24 hours to detect coronavirus. The previous day 14 thousand 845 samples were collected. Today, 1,638 samples have been collected less than yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 12,046 samples have been tested in 50 laboratories in the country. On the previous day, 14 thousand 6 samples were tested. In the last 24 hours, 1,602 fewer samples have been tested than the previous day. So far, a total of 3 lakh 64 thousand 751 samples have been tested.

He said 28 of the 35 dead were men and six were women. Age analysis shows 1 in 61 to 90 years, 9 in 61 to 60 years, 5 in 61 to 60 years, 10 in 51 to 60 years, 3 in 41 to 50 years, 31 to 40 years 2 in between, 3 in 21 to 30 years, 2 in 11 to 20 years. Among them 20 are in Dhaka division, 6 in Chittagong division, 2 in Sylhet division, 3 in Rajshahi division and 2 in Barisal division.

Of the dead, 25 died at the hospital and nine at home. And 1 person came to the hospital dead. Of those who have died so far, 7.48 percent are men and 22.54 percent are women, he said.

Professor. Nasima Sultana said 314 more people have been taken in isolation in the last 24 hours and currently there are 6,162 people in isolation. In the last 24 hours, 96 people have got relief from isolation and so far 3,945 people have got relief.

There are 13,264 isolation beds in the country. Of these, there are 6,250 beds in the capital Dhaka and 6,034 beds in various hospitals outside Dhaka. There are 399 ICU beds and 106 dialysis units in the country.

He said 1,069 people have been taken to quarantine in the last 24 hours by combining home and institution. So far 2 lakh 99 thousand 222 people have been taken in quarantine. In the last 24 hours, 2,611 people have been exempted from quarantine. So far, a total of 2 lakh 42 thousand 925 people have received discounts. At present, there are 56,298 people in quarantine at home and institutionally. There are 629 institutions ready for institutional quarantine at 64 district and upazila level of the country. 31 thousand 991 people can be served immediately through these organizations.

The Additional Director General said that according to the information received from the Central Pharmacy, 25 lakh 9 thousand 114 personal protective materials (PPE) have been collected so far and 22 lakh 18 thousand 465 have been distributed so far. At present there are 2 lakh 92 thousand 6 PPE reserves.

In the last 24 hours, 1 lakh 74 thousand 963 phone calls have been received on the hotline number and so far 98 lakh 62 thousand 571 phone calls have been received and health services and advice have been given, he said.

He said 16,269 doctors have so far received online training on coronavirus treatment. 5 more doctors have been trained in 24 hours. Of these, 4,217 are voluntarily providing medical services and counseling to the people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on health windows and IEDCIR hotlines.

Dr. Nasima Sultana said that in the last 24 hours, a total of 7 lakh 8 thousand 506 people including 1,365 people have been scanned through the country’s airports, naval, seaports and land ports.

Highlighting the situation in Southeast Asia, he said that according to the World Health Organization’s report till June 5, 13,026 people had contracted corona in Southeast Asia in 24 hours. So far 3 lakh 22 thousand 73 people have been infected. 332 people have died in the last 24 hours and so far 6,942 people.

According to the report of the World Health Organization till June 5, 1 lakh 17 thousand 526 people have been infected with corona in 24 hours all over the world. So far 354 out of 65 lakh 35 thousand have been affected. 4 thousand 26 people have died in 24 hours and so far 3 lakh 8 thousand 155 people.

He called on all to follow the hygiene rules to prevent coronavirus infection by putting your health in your hands.

To avoid the risk of coronavirus infection, keep everyone at home, follow hygiene rules, avoid public gatherings, always wear a face mask, wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds with soapy water, use hand gloves when going out, drink plenty of water and liquids, vitamin C and D. Regular light exercise to keep the body fit, including eating rich foods, eggs, fish, meat, fresh fruits and vegetables, and following the guidelines of the Department of Health and the World Health Organization are requested.

He said smoking should be avoided, as it creates additional risks.
