Blue Origin was established by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, took a team of private astronauts that included footballer along with the child of an astronaut for an 11-minute flight across the border that separates Earth and space on its NS-19 mission.
Laura Shepard Churchley, eldest daughter of Alan Shepard, the first American in space, was joined by the former NFL star and present Good Morning America host Michael Strahan as honorary guests on the flight. “It’s almost like an out-of-body experience,” Strahan stated to an interviewer following the flight. “It’s hard to even believe it happened.”
Blue Origin launched the six space travelers which included the former NFL player along with “Good Morning America” host Michael Strahan the New Shepard rocket from the company’s Launch Site One near Van Horn, Texas early Saturday (Dec. 11). After a few hours, Blue Origin unveiled a 45-second video that demonstrates the experience in space was for Strahan and his fellow crew members.
