68504 COVID-19 Case and 930 Dead in Bangladesh

In the last 24 hours, 2,835  New COVID-19 cases found in Bangladesh. A record number of 42 people have died of coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the country. So far, the death toll from the virus has risen to 930.mortality rate is 1.3 percent. The rate of infection is not falling below 21 percent in proportion to the sample test.

With this, the number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Bangladesh stood at 930. The total number of identified patients in the country is 68504 . In the sample test, the infection rate today is 21.13 percent. The previous day the rate was 20.6 percent. 

Professor Nasima Sultana said 14,580 people have recovered from the coronavirus infection so far. In the last 24 hours, 656 people have recovered. Today, the recovery rate is 21.25 percent. The previous day this rate was 21.14 percent. Today’s recovery rate is 11 percent higher than the previous day.

Nasima Sultana, additional director general of the health department, told the regular health bulletin that 12,944 samples had been tested in the last 24 hours.

7 percent of the dead are men. A total of 38 of the dead were between the ages of 41 and 100.

She said 658 more people have been newly recovered and the total number of people who have recovered is 14,570.

A 10-member Chinese medical team with expertise in treating Covid-19 patients reached Dhaka today. The first coronavirus was identified in Wuhan, China.The team, organized by the National Health Commission, consists of 10 experts from Hainan. The team members, specializing in areas including public health, infectious diseases, intensive care, and respiratory diseases, will work in Bangladesh for 15 day . They landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 11:40am on a special chartered flight of Hainan Airlines .

They will stay in Bangladesh for 14 days. During this time they will visit various Covid 19 hospitals, quarantine centers and labs in Dhaka and Narayanganj.
