Since the July mass uprising, a spontaneous, isolated, and uncoordinated resistance has formed across various state institutions, politics, and the media against the return of those who support fascism. The BNP, Jamaat, and NCIB have completely failed to guide this resistance in the right direction collectively. As a result, it has turned into an aimless, thrilling campaign by “pressure groups.” The pro-India army chief, General Waqar, is spreading hatred against it by calling it a “mob.”
Because Professor M. Yunus’s government doesn’t understand even the basics of politics, anti-uprising forces are gradually organizing and attempting to stage a counter-show of power. Given this context, it is urgent to review all aspects of the brutal attack on the leaders of the Ganabikar Parishad last night and for the main political parties to collectively take a political stand. I am making a humble appeal to the three main political parties of the country.
