People are increasingly seeking ways to digitize everyday items, and identification documents are no exception. Google Wallet first began supporting select state-issued IDs last year, and now it’s expanding to include digital U.S. passport IDs.Â
The beta version of this new feature allows users to create a digital ID pass with their U.S. passport. Furthermore, Google Wallet’s functionality has extended beyond Android devices — users can now access ir saved passes via the web at wallet.google.com, providing even greater flexibility for managing digital essentials.Â
5. A Focus on Security and Privacy
With all of the new features, security remains a top priority. Google Wallet uses advanced encryption and authentication protocols to ensure that sensitive data such as digital IDs are kept safe.
