According to Janes weekly Bangladesh Airforce to receive five UK-surplus Lockheed Martin C-130J Hercules transport aircraft by the end of 2019. The Lockheed Martin C-130J Super Hercules is a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft. The C-130J is an update of the Lockheed C-130 Hercule. The Super Hercules has been used extensively by the USAF and USMC in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Bangladesh Air Force has previously noted that the acquisition of C-130J. The acquisition of the C-130Js will enable the Bangladeshi Air Force to retire the four C-130Bs that it has fielded since 2001 .
